In mid 2009 the Students’ Union started their “newspaper”, it was a magazine called “The Squirrel” and my friend Boe had been chosen as editor. I as a keen volunteer became the magazine’s sole designer and helped to give the magazine a professional image in its early stages.

Over the 4 issues that I helped produce, the look transformed from a newspaper style to the magazine look you can see on the right.

The basics, such as the Logo and initial type design had been done by a different designer, however over time while the logo remained, I altered the type design to better reflect the magazine-style design preferred by myself, readers, and the editor.
