In November 2008 I thought I’d test out my skills at advertising and design by choosing a podcast I like quite a lot and promoting it around my University campus, the podcast I chose was Adam Curry’s Daily Source Code

I chose a classic student attracting ticker tape design, and since this was an experiment I needed a way to find out how many people were taken in by the ad, so I added strips to the bottom of the ad, like you see in lost dog adverts or, as you see at university, flat or book adverts.

I was pretty happy with the design and so I uploaded it to drop.io/dailysourcecode which is where Adam Curry tells listeners to anonymously upload articles, news stories, videos or what have you that he might find interesting and mention on his show. Hopefully others downloaded it, but I didn’t expect anything more than that, but when I heard the next show, I was shocked to hear this…

As you can tell it was submitted anonymously, but I hope the image below this article is enough to prove that I am the perpetrator. If you still don’t believe me, leave a comment on the blog.
