The Hollywood Showdown
In March 2009, I was asked if I could produce a poster for an event to be held in the following month. With little time on my hands and the desire to practise the art of poster making once again, I took up the challenge.
The poster was seen across both campuses as full A3 colour prints, A5 black and white flyers as well as adverts produced for the university computer network.
Sinead Ruane, one of the people behind the event said:
“The poster created for our event played a vital part. It was truly effective and obviously had a lot of work put into it. Many people commented on how fantastic the poster was and I know that I and my group thought it was amazing and so much better than we had anticipated.
From telling Darran what we wanted he came back to us with a poster very quickly, which was exactly the professional approach we wanted. After reviewing the poster and giving our points to Darran he then came back with a new and improved poster, which was better than we could ever have imagined.
Without the poster from Darran our event really would not have been the same and his professional approach to the work was brilliant. We would all consider requesting Darran to do work for us again and would definitely recommend him to others.”
